The Installation
Unless you already have quality 2.4 GHz equipment, you will need a Radio & Antenna. Blueline sells and installs this for Rp 2 mln. Some Customers near high trees or buildings may also need an antenna mast. The subscription is pre-paid. Blueline sells Rp 1.000.000 and Rp 500.000 Vouchers, which go to your credit balance. The charges for internet use will automatically be deducted from your account balance, until it is zero. To continue using the Internet you will have to buy a new Voucher to add credit to your account balance. You can monitor your credit balance and other information on Your Account Page.
There is no contract or sign-up fee.
You can connect multiple PCs at your location to the
same account by creating a Local Area Network or a
Wireless Network. Blueline can help you with this.
In Bali the average speed of a dial-up connection
(if you can get connected) is 10 Kbps ranging as low
as 3 Kbps.
About VOIP
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is making telephone calls through the internet. You can
make calls to anywhere in the world for rates much lower (a few cents) then with your landline or mobile. Most VOIP
providers can also give you a dial-in number where family/friends/clients will be able to call you in their own
country. A client will ring your local New York number and the phone will ring on your desk in Bali.
